In 2016 Lisa McAuley began engaging with stakeholders globally around the need to raise the ethical standard for trade and trade professionals by raising awareness of global best practice. After a year of stakeholder consultation, GTPA formed in early 2017 and the work commenced to start the development of the ISO/IEC 17024 standard in the field of international trade.
A global committee of trade experts was established to oversee the year long process that has led to the GTPA officially launching on the 12th December in Argentina.
