GTPA calls for expression of interest from education providers globally across a wide range of disciplines supporting global trade knowledge and capability building globally

Education providers around the world should look to now join the GTPA and become an Approved Education Provider. This will provide education providers with the opportunity to be a recognised pathway for individuals to demonstrate their professional trade competencies as well as a platform to promote their institution as part of a globally recognised alliance.

Launching on the 12th December as part of the biennial Trade and Sustainable Development Symposium, organised by the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and held alongside the WTO ministerial conference GTPA is now calling for providers of global trade education to apply for approved education provider status under the GTP Programme.

Lisa McAuley, Executive Director of the GTPA said “Education providers around the world should look to now join the GTPA and become an Approved Education Provider. This will provide education providers with the opportunity to be a recognised pathway for individuals to demonstrate their professional trade competencies as well as a platform to promote their institution as part of a globally recognised alliance.”

As an approved education provider GTPA will become partners with education delivery arms to support global trade advancement.

“Approved education provider will benefit from internationally recognised approval as a GTPA Approved Education Provider under ISO/IEC 17024, access to a trusted global network to promote their courses, the ability to promote their brand as a global expert in trade education and services as well as global connections.” – Ms McAuley said

Applications for Approved Education Provider status are now open to all education providers that provide courses and skills development programs across the following domain specialisations; Trade Management, Trade Regulation and Compliance, Risk Analysis and Mitigation, Market Development, Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance, Trade Research and Economics, Trade Policy, Trade Law, Sustainable Trade, Development and Inclusiveness and Innovation Exchange.

“The diversity of the GTP Programme provides an opportunity for providers of education across all levels from tertiary qualifications at the undergraduate, postgraduate levels as well as providers that deliver short courses and online courses.” Ms McAuley said.

Approved Providers will be able to leverage both the price reduction and fast track approval process we are promoting for GTP certification in promoting their courses to potential students.
