As part of this initiative, participating organisations are expected to deliver their own SME-focused training programs and work collaboratively with GTPA to embed sustainable supply chain practices at the national level.
A core sustainability outcome of the program is the establishment of Local Advisory Groups (LAGs) in each participating country. These groups are designed to embed long-term collaboration and coordination across the supply chain ecosystem.
Purpose and Role of LAGs
The Local Advisory Groups will:
- Continue national dialogue on supply chain resilience, diversification, and SME engagement.
- Coordinate public–private collaboration between government agencies, industry associations, and SMEs.
- Guide ongoing SME support and policy implementation, ensuring lessons learned from the program are applied locally.
- Serve as a forum for ongoing knowledge exchange, capturing applied learning from SMEs, industry, and government stakeholders.
Expectations for Participating Organisations
- Develop and deliver SME-targeted training programs aligned with the principles and frameworks introduced in the program.
- Collaborate with GTPA to share insights, tools, and lessons learned.
- Engage with the Local Advisory Groups to ensure sustained impact and support for SMEs beyond the program’s online modules.
This approach ensures that the knowledge and practices developed during the program are translated into long-term capacity building at the national and regional level, creating resilient and diversified supply chains for SMEs.
