Global Trade Professionals Alliance launches new eCommerce and Digital Services Working Committee

Following the establishment of a work program to set rules for digital trade at the 11th World Trade Organisation’s (WTO) Ministerial Conference (MC11) in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the importance that the GTPA believes in implementing basic standards for digital trade in areas like consumer protection and electronic contracts the GTPA is now pleased to announce that in the New Year it will establish a new working committee to look at developing a new specialisation under the Global Trade Professionals Programme to recognise experts in the field of eCommerce and digital services.

E-commerce, digital trade and the tech start-ups they foster are increasingly important elements of any countries trade future. Creating certainty around digital rules and regulations is an important step forward in supporting MSME engagement in the digital economy to confidently explore opportunities around the world.

The working committee will provide advice to the International and Technical Advisory Committee on the development of competency standards, quality control, ongoing professional development and the global issues relating to eCommerce and digital services.

This global working committee will also provide advice to GTPA on its competency standards related to eCommerce and digital services.

Are you a proven thought leader, influencer, advocate and mentor whose words and actions have shaped eCommerce and digital services growth? We would love to hear from you, to explore together the vision and mission of the new Working Committee.
