GTPA would like to share another story of innovation in these COVID-19 times

In 2018 Collins Rex, Director of the GTPA had the great privilege of getting to know a group of exceptional women from South Asia who I trained in international business as part of the Australia Awards: Women Trading Globally programme. One of those women is Hanium Maria Chowdury from Bangladesh.
Hanium’s business, www.tahoorstudio.com, has switched its garment production lines to manufacturing PPE, which are in very short supply in Bangladesh. Hanium and her workers are at it pretty much around the clock, even applying to stay open during the lockdown that is now in force.
The little video shows the manufacturing process. Once made, suits are then sterilized and supplied. Healthcare workers then sterilize them again before use.
